Well he said that he would have it up yesterday, course he also said that four days ago, and again six days ago. Point being that at the effective 12:01 PST the RP slot is open to all other users...

I get distracted easily . I actually think there was a reason I couldn't post it on the seventh or eight or whenever, but I can't remember what it was.

we barely have enough support for one RP. What in gods good name would make you suggest another?

I would love it, but I agree with spag that for now anyway we will put it on hold...

I also don't think it would work out for a few reasons. Firstly, what the hell would any prospective girls do? secondly, I doubt even you, winter, could tell me what a main chain, a stay sail, or a cannonade is without looking it up.(you may know what a cannonade is, but those are just examples of the naval terminology needed for a rp such as this one.)

Also, how would it be formatted? somehow I don't think everybody on one ship would work, because the highest up would basically god mod the whole thing. But neither would having separate ships, due to the lack of contact with one another. So unless you wanted to get really intricate on our arses with a fleet in being and a chain of command as well as a master of the RP who does not play, but rather dictates events, then I don't see how it could be done. unless of course you only had two or three people in the RP, then it might work...

OKAY!!!!!!! so taking up winter's brilliant idea. What if we set it in the Caribbean, so as to have pirates? This would allow for women to play a more vital role since there were a few, not many but a few, pirates who were female. I would be willing to put together a comprehensive glossary of terms, pics, and the like for all info regarding this time period. This would have to be a longer post RP. I would be looking for something along the line of a post a day, maybe every other day. So larger, well written posts would be expected. We would have to set up a time and such, because this would be short but drawn out action and then long sailing periods of inaction.

If you like the idea say so. This would officially replace Monk's failed RP, since there is only one post in it and nobody has joined. Being the only person who really knows what it meant to be in the navy at this time (unless somebody has knowledge they have been hiding from me...) I advise that all posters at least watch the movie Master and Commander, with Russel Crow, to get a very very basic idea of naval life. This is not a spin off on PotC!!!!!!! I will kill people that make it so!

The Pirate V Navy RP sounds like a great idea.
You're going to have to actually write out a substantial explanation for the setting in the first post, though. Which you failed at in the NY RP. XD

Yeah I know, I almost finished the background for SoNY but then everybody seemed to get it... so why waste my time? Anyway, I will have the RP up in a few days probably. I still need to find sources for all the info I want to include...
